In the Department of Public Administration, the problems of public administration and political science are handled from a multidimensional perspective and an education program is prepared in which students can acquire the principle of effective decision-making with the discipline of management.

The Department of Public Administration serves our students with the aim of raising individuals who will carry our country to the place it deserves in a new century, who are conscious, honest, principled, who think about the interests of the country, who have a respected identity, and who are sector managers.

The duration of education is 8 semesters, i.e. 4 years. In addition to basic economics courses, the department also offers courses in the fields of management, law, political science, public personnel management and international relations. The aim of the courses is to provide students with a general knowledge and to develop the power of analysis and questioning. In addition to undergraduate education, the department also offers career opportunities with a master's and doctorate programs affiliated to the Institute of Graduate Studies.

The education and training provided in the Department of Public Administration is of a quality that enables its graduates to be employed both in the public sector and in the private sector in terms of formation. Various administrative levels of State Ministries and Inspection Boards, District Governorship, Court of Accounts, State Economic Enterprises and their inspection boards, State Planning Organization, various units of local governments and similar organizations constitute the leading employment areas for graduates. In addition, the formation gained by the graduates allows them to be employed in various management levels of the private sector and banks and their inspection boards.

History

Our department has been providing education within Dumlupınar University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences since 1992.

Degree Awarded

Students who graduate from the program receive a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration.

Admission Requirements

High school diploma together with the placement certificate made by OSYM as a result of the undergraduate education exam

Transition to Upper Echelon

Student can apply for postgraduate education (MA + DR)

Graduation Requirements

2.00 grade point average with 240 credit courses

Employment Opportunities

Our graduates can apply for many jobs in the public and private sectors.

Assessment and Evaluation

Multiple-choice and classical exams are conducted.

Department Facilities

The Department of Public Administration benefits from the facilities of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. 

The Department of Public Administration has a qualified academic staff consisting of faculty members with master's and doctoral degrees from distinguished universities in Turkey and abroad, as well as research assistants who continue their graduate studies at distinguished universities in Turkey and abroad.

The academic staff of the Department of Public Administration consists of 1 professor, 6 associate professors, 5 assistant professors and 10 research assistants.
